This live edge table was made by Damien Devereux who is registered blind. Produced from kiln dried timber sourced from a local sustainable woodland.
This could be used outside as a garden table, dining or wedding table.
It is made from a single ash wood slab which had forked into two trunks. This fork creates what is called feather grain which gives the table great characteristics. The table also contains some ripple grain which can create a 3D effect on the wood. The bark is still in situ on this to give a nice feature and it has hardened on so there is no risk of it falling off. The legs of the table are made of peeled English yew branches which gives the table a lovely variety of natural curves and colours.
As this rustic table is forked, it is obviously an abnormal size. At its deepest, it is 1 meter and at its narrowest, it is 61cm. This table will comfortably seat 4 people.
The table had been treated with triple action woodworm treatment and then kiln dried to kill off all worm that may have survived. Finished with an external grade Danish oil means that the table can be placed indoors or outdoors.
